This tool automatically computes your credit-weighted grade point average (GPA) from the credits and grades of the courses you've taken. You can choose a 4.5, 4.3, or 4.0 maximum scale, and Pass (P) courses are excluded from the GPA to mirror how real transcripts work.

How to use

  1. Choose the grading scale that matches your school (4.5 / 4.3 / 4.0).
  2. For each course, enter the credits (e.g., 3) and grade (A+, B0, etc.), and add rows with '+ Add course.'
  3. Instantly see your GPA, credits counted, and an approximate percentage conversion.
  4. Use 'Copy result' to copy the GPA summary.

FAQ

Are Pass/Fail courses included?
Courses you mark with a P grade are excluded from the GPA calculation, since most universities don't count P/F courses toward the GPA. They are, however, shown separately in the earned-credits summary.
How is the GPA calculated?
It's the credit-weighted average: sum each course's (grade point × credits), then divide by the total counted credits. For example, a 3-credit A+ and a 3-credit B0 give (4.5×3 + 3.0×3) ÷ 6 = 3.75.
Can the converted value differ from my transcript?
Grade-to-point tables and percentage conversions vary by university, so this calculator applies a common standard for reference. Whether grades like A- and B- are used and how percentages are derived differ by school, so check your official transcript for your definitive record.
