FAQ

Is my uploaded image sent to a server?
No. The image is opened only in your browser's memory, and cropping and saving all happen entirely on your own device. No file is ever sent to or stored on a server.
How does it crop when I lock a ratio?
When you press a ratio button like 1:1 or 16:9, the largest area of that ratio is automatically centered on the image, and further dragging stays constrained to that ratio. It's convenient for making thumbnails and profile pictures with fixed dimensions.
Does the quality degrade?
The cropped area is saved as a lossless PNG at the original resolution, so the cropped portion keeps the full quality of the original. Unless you crop into a zoomed-in area, there's no loss from re-compression.
