How to use
- Upload the image you want to split.
- Pick your grid size (3x3, 3x2, or 3x1) and the tile resolution for each piece.
- Check the guide lines over your image, then hit "Split Image."
- Download each tile, then follow the numbering guide (#1, #2, #3...) and upload to Instagram starting from the bottom-right piece.
FAQ
- Do I really have to upload them in reverse order?
- Yes. Every new post you publish pushes the older ones right and down in your feed. So you have to start with the bottom-right tile (marked #1) for the grid to come together correctly in the end.
- What kind of images work best for a grid?
- High-resolution landscapes, photoshoot images, and large poster-style graphics with the right aspect ratio give you the most dramatic effect when they stretch across the whole feed.
- What happens to my image if I pick a non-square grid like 3x2 or 3x1?
- Since a 3x2 or 3x1 grid isn't a perfect square overall, the tool automatically crops or pads the top/bottom or left/right edges to fit your image's aspect ratio. Check the preview guidelines before splitting so you can see exactly what gets trimmed and adjust the source image if needed.
