- The voice I want isn't in the list.
- The available voices depend on those installed in your operating system and browser. You can add more voices—including ones for other languages—in the speech or narrator settings of Windows or macOS, and they'll then appear in the list.
- Why won't it play in some browsers?
- This tool uses the browser's SpeechSynthesis feature. We recommend the latest Chrome, Edge, or Safari, and note that some mobile browsers only play audio after you tap the screen once.
- Is the text I enter sent to a server?
- No. Speech is generated by your browser's built-in feature, and the text you enter is never sent to or stored on this site's servers.
