🔒 Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your files and input are never uploaded to any server.
This tool automatically prefixes each line of pasted text with a sequential number in the format you choose. It's handy for numbering code snippets, lists, or documents, and every step runs right in your browser without sending your text to any server.
How to use
- Paste or type your text into the input box.
- Pick a starting index and a numbering style (1. / 1: / [1] / (1) / 01.).
- Optionally enable 'Skip numbering on empty lines'.
- Check the result box and copy the numbered text with the copy button.
FAQ
- Does it number empty lines too?
- By default empty lines get numbered as well, but if you enable 'Skip numbering on empty lines', blank lines are left as-is and only lines with content are numbered in sequence.
- Can I start numbering from something other than 1?
- Yes, just set the starting index field to any number and numbering will continue sequentially from there.
- Is my text sent anywhere?
- No, all processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
