How to use
- Select the blockchain network (Ethereum, BNB, Polygon, Arbitrum, or Optimism).
- Select the transaction type or enter a custom Gas Limit, along with the current Gas Price (Gwei) and Coin Price.
- Check the calculated transaction cost in USD and KRW, along with the total coin amount consumed.
FAQ
- What is the difference between Gas Limit and Gas Price?
- Gas Limit is the maximum amount of gas units you are willing to spend for a transaction (e.g., 21,000 for standard transfers), while Gas Price is the price per gas unit in Gwei (1 Gwei = 1e-9 coin). The final fee is calculated by multiplying these two values.
- How can I reduce my gas fees?
- Gas prices fluctuate depending on network congestion. Transaction fees are generally much lower during weekends or early morning hours (in Asian timezones). Avoid trading during peak hours or hot NFT mints.
- Since EIP-1559, what's the difference between the base fee and the priority fee (tip)?
- The base fee is a mandatory amount that rises and falls automatically block by block depending on network congestion, and it's burned rather than paid to validators. The priority fee (tip) is an optional extra you add on top to reward the validator directly and get your transaction processed faster. The gas price (Gwei) you enter in this calculator can be thought of as the combined total of these two amounts.
