Crop a face photo to standard sizes such as passport, general ID, and half-business-card, change the background color, and save at 300 DPI with this ID photo tool. Beyond saving a single photo, it also provides a file that automatically arranges multiple copies on a 4×6-inch print sheet, so you can print cheaply at a photo shop or self-service kiosk.
How to use
- Drag and drop the face photo you want to make into an ID photo, or click to select it.
- Choose a size (passport/general ID 3.5×4.5, half-business-card 3×4, etc.) and a background color.
- Fit the face position and size to the size frame using the zoom, horizontal, and vertical sliders.
- Download whichever file you need: 'ID Photo (PNG)' or '4×6 Print (JPG)'.
FAQ
- Is my face photo sent to a server?
- No. Everything, from cropping the photo to filling the background and arranging the print sheet, happens only within your browser. Photos containing your face are never transmitted to or stored on a server, so use it with peace of mind.
- Does changing the background color fully erase the original background?
- No. This tool doesn't perform automatic background removal (cutout). The background color applies most naturally to a transparent PNG whose background has already been removed; for regular photos, use it for size cropping and print layout. Sizes, ratios, and print dimensions are for reference and may differ from each institution's actual requirements.
- How do I use the 4×6 print layout?
- It creates a 300 DPI image with multiple ID photos arranged at their exact size on a single 4×6-inch (10×15 cm) sheet. Take this JPG to a photo shop or self-service photo kiosk, and a single print gives you several copies to cut along the guide lines.
