🔒 Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your files and input are never uploaded to any server.
This free tool flips all of an image's colors to create a negative-film-like effect. Save the result — white becomes black and black becomes white — as PNG.
How to use
- Drag and drop the image you want to invert, or click to select it.
- An automatically negative-processed preview is shown.
- Press the 'Download' button to save the inverted image.
- Use 'Another image' to invert a new photo.
FAQ
- Is my file sent to a server?
- No. The color inversion runs entirely within your browser and your image is never sent to a server, so even personal photos are safe to use.
- How does color inversion work?
- It subtracts each pixel's red, green, and blue values from 255 to produce the complementary color, creating the same effect as a photographic negative.
- Can I turn an inverted image back to the original?
- If you feed the saved negative image back into this tool, it's restored to its original colors — because applying color inversion twice returns the original.
