How to use

FAQ
- Could a generated MAC address collide with a real device?
- Addresses are random, so a collision is extremely unlikely in practice — but if you're assigning addresses to production network hardware, it's safer to follow the official OUI allocation rules. This tool is intended for test and simulation addresses.
- What do unicast, multicast, UAA, and LAA mean?
- In the first octet, the least significant bit is 0 for unicast (a single device) and 1 for multicast (group delivery). The second-least-significant bit is 0 for a universally administered address (UAA), assigned by the manufacturer, and 1 for a locally administered address (LAA), which you can assign yourself.
- Is any of my data sent to a server?
- No. Generation happens entirely in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored.
