Figuring out who owes what after a group dinner or a weekend trip is more work than it should be, especially when several people covered different rounds. Add your group, log each expense (who paid, how much, and who it was shared by), and this tool works out everyone's net balance and tells you exactly who should pay whom — using the smallest number of transfers possible. Everything runs in your browser, so the names and amounts you enter never reach a server.

How to use
- Add everyone who was part of the group to the participant list.
- For each expense, enter a description and amount, pick who paid, and check off who it should be split between.
- Once every expense is logged, check the settlement panel at the top to see who owes whom and how much.
- Any expense or participant entered by mistake can be edited or removed from the list at any time.
FAQ
- Is the math still right when several people owe money and several are owed?
- Yes. The tool first calculates each person's net balance — what they paid minus their share of the costs — then matches debtors with creditors in a way that keeps the number of transfers to a minimum.
- Can I handle expenses that only some people were part of?
- Yes. Each expense has its own list of participants, so you can split the first round between three people and the second round between two, and each item is divided accordingly.
- Are the names and amounts I enter saved or sent anywhere?
- No. All input and calculation happens entirely in your browser, and everything resets when you refresh the page.
