FAQ
- How is the due date calculated?
- The tool adds 280 days (40 weeks) — the average length of a pregnancy — to the first day of your last menstrual period. This is the standard method, commonly known as Naegele's rule.
- Can my actual delivery date differ from this estimate?
- Yes. Depending on how regular your cycle is and when conception actually occurred, the estimate can be off by a couple of weeks. Always defer to the gestational age and due date your OB-GYN determines from an ultrasound measurement.
- Is the date I enter stored anywhere?
- No. Everything is calculated locally in your browser, and the date you enter is never transmitted to or saved on a server.
