This tool draws as many random numbers as you want from a minimum-to-maximum range, with the option to draw without duplicates. Whether you need a prize drawing, event winner, team split, or number pick, the name-list mode lets anyone produce a fair result.
How to use
- Choose the 'Number Draw' or 'Name List Draw' tab.
- In number mode, enter the minimum, maximum, and how many to draw; in name mode, enter one name per line.
- Turn on the 'No duplicates' option to avoid drawing the same value twice.
- Press the 'Draw' button to see the results, then use 'Copy Result' to grab them.
FAQ
- Are the results sent to a server?
- No. The range, name list, and results you enter are all processed entirely within your browser. No data is ever sent to or stored on a server, so you can use it with complete peace of mind.
- Is the drawing really fair?
- Instead of a simple Math.random, we use the browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and eliminate modulo bias so every value has an equal chance of being drawn. Name shuffling also uses the unbiased Fisher-Yates shuffle.
- What happens if I ask for more numbers than the range allows?
- When 'No duplicates' is on, it draws only up to the maximum possible (the size of the range or the number of names) and shows a notice. If duplicates are allowed, it draws exactly as many as you requested.
