FAQ
- Is the content I enter sent to a server?
- No. Entering the title, URL, and description, calculating truncation, and previewing the snippet all happen only in your browser. No information is ever transmitted or stored on an external server.
- Why do the desktop and mobile standards differ?
- Mobile screens are narrower, so descriptions get cut off shorter than on desktop. This tool uses about 160 characters for desktop descriptions and about 120 for mobile, and judges title truncation by pixel width.
- Is the preview guaranteed to look exactly like the real search results?
- Google sometimes automatically rewrites the title and description depending on the query and context, so it's not 100% identical. This tool is an approximate preview based on practical recommended values—use it to check truncation risk in advance.
