Video to GIF
Clip any part of a video and set the fps and size to make an animated GIF

🔒 Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your files and input are never uploaded to any server.
Clip just the part of a video you want and set the fps and width to create a looping animated GIF. Palette optimization (palettegen) reduces color banding for a clean animation, and your file is never uploaded, it's processed only in your browser.
How to use
- Drag and drop or click to select your video file.
- Use the preview to find your spot and set the start point and duration.
- Choose the frame rate (fps) and width. Higher values are smoother and sharper but larger in size.
- Click "Convert to GIF," and when it's done, check the preview and download it.
FAQ
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Conversion is handled only by WebAssembly (FFmpeg) in your browser, and your video is never uploaded to an external server. That said, the first run has to download the conversion engine (a few tens of MB), so the initial time may be a bit slow.
- My GIF file is too big.
- GIF is inherently a large format. Keep the duration short, set fps to 10–12, and lower the width to 240–320px to significantly reduce the file size.
- What video formats can I use?
- It supports most videos that play in the browser, such as MP4, WebM, and MOV. The larger the clip and size, the longer conversion takes.
