🔒 Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your files and input are never uploaded to any server.
A tool that discards the video track and pulls out just the audio track from a video, saving it as an MP3 file. When you only need the sound from a lecture, interview, or music video, you can extract it right in your browser with no software to install.
How to use
- Drag and drop or click to select the video (MP4, MOV, WebM, etc.) to extract audio from.
- Choose the output audio quality (bitrate) and click "Extract as MP3."
- The first run may take a moment to download the conversion engine. When it's done, preview it and save it with "Download MP3."
FAQ
- Is my video uploaded to a server?
- No. Conversion is handled by WebAssembly in your browser, and neither the video nor the extracted audio is ever sent to a server. Only the one-time conversion engine file is downloaded from a CDN.
- Why is the first run slow?
- The first time you use it, the conversion engine (FFmpeg, a few tens of MB) has to download and get ready. Once downloaded, it processes quickly afterward, though large videos still take time to convert.
- What videos can I use?
- It pulls the audio track and saves it as MP3 from most videos, including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and AVI. Videos without an audio track can't be extracted.
