🔒 Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your files and input are never uploaded to any server.

A tool that discards the video track and pulls out just the audio track from a video, saving it as an MP3 file. When you only need the sound from a lecture, interview, or music video, you can extract it right in your browser with no software to install.

How to use

  1. Drag and drop or click to select the video (MP4, MOV, WebM, etc.) to extract audio from.
  2. Choose the output audio quality (bitrate) and click "Extract as MP3."
  3. The first run may take a moment to download the conversion engine. When it's done, preview it and save it with "Download MP3."

FAQ

Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion is handled by WebAssembly in your browser, and neither the video nor the extracted audio is ever sent to a server. Only the one-time conversion engine file is downloaded from a CDN.
Why is the first run slow?
The first time you use it, the conversion engine (FFmpeg, a few tens of MB) has to download and get ready. Once downloaded, it processes quickly afterward, though large videos still take time to convert.
What videos can I use?
It pulls the audio track and saves it as MP3 from most videos, including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and AVI. Videos without an audio track can't be extracted.
