Record your screen (or a specific window or tab if you prefer) along with audio in your browser and save it as a WebM video. You can use it right away with no separate software to install.
How to use
- Check "Also record microphone audio" if you need it.
- Click "Start Recording" and select the screen, window, or tab to share and allow it.
- When you're done, click "Stop Recording" (you can also end it from the browser's sharing bar).
- Preview the finished video and save it with "Download WebM Video."
FAQ
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. The recording is created and saved only in your browser (on your device) and is never sent to an external server. It doesn't download a separate engine, so it usually starts right away, though some browsers may pause briefly to prepare the codec on the first recording.
- Is audio recorded too?
- If you turn on "Share system/tab audio" in the screen-sharing dialog, the screen's audio is recorded. Check "Also record microphone audio" to blend your own voice (mic) into the same video.
- Why does it save as WebM instead of MP4?
- WebM is the browser's standard recording format, so it can save instantly without any install. If you need MP4, convert the saved WebM with a separate conversion tool.
