FAQ
- What exactly is the 3.3% withholding?
- It's the standard Korean withholding rate on business income paid to freelancers and independent contractors — 3% income tax plus a 0.3% local tax (10% of the income tax). It's typically an advance payment reconciled at annual tax filing.
- Why doesn't the reverse calculation land on a perfectly round number?
- The required pre-tax amount is derived by dividing the target net income by 0.967 and rounding, so small rounding differences of a few KRW can appear. Treat the result as a close reference figure.
- Is my entered data stored or transmitted?
- No. All calculations happen entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
