How to use

FAQ
- What happens if several values in the data tie with my target score?
- The calculator uses the standard percentile rank formula, (L + 0.5 * E) / N * 100. Scores below the target (L) count fully, and tied scores (E) count for half, which produces a fair midpoint rank rather than over- or under-crediting ties.
- Does the target value have to be in the data set?
- No. You can enter any number, including one that doesn't appear in the data. The calculator figures out where it would slot in between existing values and computes the percentile from there.
- Can I trust the result with a tiny data set, like 5 values or fewer?
- The math itself is still exact, but with so few points a single value swings the ranking a lot, so the percentile is less statistically meaningful. You'll get a more useful comparison with at least 10 data points.
