How to use
- Paste the long text you want to break into sentences.

- Set the exception options so abbreviations and decimal points don't trigger false splits, then copy the result.
FAQ
- Will it break a sentence at abbreviations like Mr. or Dr.?
- No. A built-in filter recognizes common abbreviations (Mr., Dr., e.g., i.e., etc.) and decimal numbers like 3.14, so those periods are never mistaken for the end of a sentence.
- Can I add my own abbreviations?
- Yes. Use the custom exception field below the input box and enter your terms — including the period — separated by commas. Those periods will be excluded from sentence splitting.
- What happens to a period that falls inside quotation marks or parentheses?
- The tool also looks at the punctuation immediately following a closing quote or parenthesis, so a sentence isn't awkwardly cut off mid-quote — the whole quoted passage stays together as one sentence.
