Superscript & Subscript Generator
Turn numbers and letters into Unicode superscript or subscript characters
This tool converts numbers and letters into real Unicode superscript and subscript characters, like x² or H₂O. It's handy for writing formulas and chemical notation, or for styling social media bios and chat messages where you can't apply any formatting and only plain characters will do. Everything converts instantly in your browser, so the text you type is never sent to a server.

FAQ
- Can every character be converted to superscript or subscript?
- No. Unicode only defines a limited set of superscript and subscript characters, so some lowercase letters like c, d, f, and g — plus most capitals — have no subscript form. Those are either left as-is or dropped if you enable the removal option.
- Can I paste the result anywhere?
- Yes. The output is made of actual Unicode characters, so as long as the font supports them, you can paste it into messaging apps, social media, documents, or anywhere else that accepts text.
- Is the text I enter stored on a server?
- No. All conversion happens in your browser, and nothing is transmitted or saved.
