Live particulate matter levels and air quality grades from monitoring stations across Korea
Select any province or metropolitan city in Korea and this tool displays live readings from each monitoring station, sourced from AirKorea, operated by the Korea Environment Corporation. You get PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations in µg/m³ along with the Comprehensive Air-quality Index grade, color-coded as Good, Moderate, Unhealthy, or Very Unhealthy so you can read it at a glance. Handy when you're deciding whether to go outside, open the windows, or wear a mask.

How to use
- Select the province or city you want to check (Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi, and so on).
- Click 'Search' to load the list of monitoring stations in that area.
- Check the PM10 and PM2.5 readings for each station along with the grade color (green, yellow, orange, or red).
FAQ
- Why do some stations show a dash instead of a number?
- That station is reporting '-' (under maintenance), meaning data is temporarily unavailable due to equipment servicing, a transmission error, or similar. Try again shortly and it may have updated.
- How often is the data refreshed?
- AirKorea typically updates its readings once an hour. To stay within the API rate limits, this tool caches results for about 10 minutes, so check the measurement timestamp (dataTime) shown alongside the readings.
- What determines the grade (Good, Moderate, Bad, Very Bad)?
- The Comprehensive Air-quality Index is set by whichever pollutant — PM10, PM2.5, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and so on — currently has the worst reading. So even if PM10 and PM2.5 are both "Moderate," the overall grade can still show as "Bad" if ozone levels are high.
