How to use
- Under 'Business days in a range,' choose a start and end date to see total days, weekend days, weekday holidays, and net business days.
- Enter a target date under 'Countdown' to see how many days remain until (or have passed since) that date.
- Open 'Holiday list' and select a year to view every official public holiday for that year.
FAQ
- Are one-off temporary holidays included?
- Temporary public holidays designated ad hoc by Korea's State Council can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to appear in the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute API. Right after one is announced, double-check against the official gazette or news coverage.
- How are business days calculated?
- The tool walks day by day from the start date to the end date and counts only the dates that are not Saturdays, Sundays, or weekday public holidays (substitute holidays included). If the range spans more than one year, the holidays for each year are applied accordingly.
- Does the calculator also account for a company's own days off, like a founding anniversary or summer vacation?
- No. This calculator only excludes weekends and official government holidays. Company-specific days off aren't included, so if your workplace has its own holiday policy, you'll need to subtract those days manually from the calculated business-day count.
