FAQ
- Does this pull live exchange rates from an API?
- No. It's built as a fast offline calculator for running what-if scenarios on exchange rates. When rates move, just update the reference rates in the settings section below and your calculations follow.
- Are exchange fees included?
- No. The math runs straight off the mid-market reference rate you set, so bank and currency exchange spreads on buying or selling cash — typically 1% to 2% — are not added in. Expect to receive slightly less than the number shown.
- If I edit the base exchange rates myself, are those changes saved for my next visit?
- No. Any rates you edit in the settings section only apply within your current browser session — refreshing the page or coming back later resets everything to the default rates. To use up-to-date figures, you'll need to re-enter your custom rates each time you visit.
