How is sodium converted to salt in grams?
Sodium in mg is multiplied by 2.5 and divided by 1,000 to show the equivalent amount of salt in grams.
What daily sodium limit does the calculator use?
It uses the WHO recommendation of 2,000 mg per day and shows what percentage of that you've consumed so far.
How do I add a food that isn't listed?
Use the manual entry form to type in the food name and its sodium content in mg, and it will be added to your list.
