- Why does a 100MB file take 8 seconds on a 100Mbps connection?
- Network speeds are measured in bits (b), while file sizes are in Bytes (B). Since 1 Byte equals 8 bits, a 100Mbps connection transfers at a maximum of 12.5MB per second, requiring 8 seconds for a 100MB file.
