What gravitational acceleration is used?
It uses Earth's standard gravity, $g = 9.8\, m/s^2$.
Does it account for air resistance?
No — this simulator assumes ideal projectile motion in a vacuum with no air resistance, so real-world outdoor results will differ slightly.
Why does a 45° launch angle give the longest range?
At a fixed launch speed, 45° maximizes the product of the horizontal and vertical velocity components, which is what theoretically produces the greatest range.
