- What is the weight setting in proportional distribution?
- It represents the relative ratio between elements. If you set weights A=3, B=2, C=5, the total amount splits into 30%, 20%, and 50% shares.
- How does the calculator prevent division-by-zero errors?
- If you input a base value of 0, the engine normalizes the output to 0% to avoid runtime equation errors.
- When calculating the rate of change, is the base (denominator) the earlier value or the later one?
- The rate of change always uses the "value before the change" as its base. So if a number rises from 100 to 120, it's calculated as (120-100)/100, showing a 20% increase — but if it falls back from 120 to 100, it's calculated as (100-120)/120, showing about -16.7%. It's normal for the increase and decrease to have different absolute percentages even between the same two numbers.
