FAQ
- How are WPM and CPM calculated?
- Following the international standard, WPM counts every 5 correctly typed characters as one word and reports words per minute, while CPM is the number of correctly typed characters per minute. Both values count only accurate characters, excluding typos.
- Why does the Korean CPM differ from my actual keystroke count?
- Korean characters are formed by combining consonants and vowels into a single syllable, so this tool—which counts completed syllables—can differ from the actual number of keys you pressed. Treat it as a reference figure.
- Is what I type sent to a server?
- No. Displaying the sentence and calculating speed and accuracy all happen entirely in your browser, and what you type is never sent to or stored on a server.
