Is It Down? Website Status Checker

Find out whether the site is really down or it's just you — with status code and response time

When a site won't load, this tells you whether the problem is your connection or their server. Enter the address and we'll try to reach it from outside your network, then report the HTTP status code and response time. Keep in mind it's a single vantage point, so sites that block data center traffic can show a false negative.

How to use

  1. Enter the site address (a bare domain works fine).
  2. Hit "Check" and we'll attempt a connection from outside your network.
  3. Review the status code, response time, and server details.

FAQ

It says the site is down, but it loads fine in my browser.
Some sites treat traffic from data center IPs as bot activity and block it. This check runs from a cloud server, so a perfectly healthy site can come back as unreachable. This isn't a multi-region monitoring service — it's one vantage point.
What do the status codes mean?
200 means OK, 301 and 302 mean the URL redirects elsewhere, 403 means access denied, 404 means the page doesn't exist, and any 5xx means a server-side error. Anything under 400 means the connection itself succeeded.
The response time looks slow — is that a problem?
That number is measured from a cloud server, so it won't match what you experience on your own connection. Treat it as a rough signal that the server is alive, not as a performance benchmark.
