FAQ

What's the BMI formula?
It's weight (kg) ÷ (height (m) × height (m)). For example, 170 cm and 65 kg gives 65 ÷ (1.7 × 1.7) ≈ 22.5.
What categories does it use?
It uses the WHO Asia-Pacific criteria: under 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–22.9 normal, 23–24.9 overweight, and 25 or above obese.
Is BMI enough on its own?
BMI has limits — for example with very muscular people — so treat it as a reference. For an accurate assessment, consider body-fat percentage and consult a doctor.
