FAQ

How does walking speed affect calories burned?
Speed changes your Metabolic Equivalent (METs). Fast walking (6.0 km/h) burns almost twice as much energy per minute as slow walking (3.0 km/h).
Does the same calculation still apply if I walked uphill or went hiking on a slope?
This calculator uses a metabolic equivalent (METs) value based on walking on flat ground. If you walked on an incline, stairs, or a hiking trail, the actual calories burned for the same step count can be nearly double that of flat walking, so please treat the result as a rough reference estimate rather than an exact figure.
