Race Split Calculator: Target Pace & Checkpoint Times

Give it the finish time you're chasing and get the pace you have to hold, plus the split chart you'll read on race day

Pick 5K, 10K, half, full, or type in your own distance, add the finish time you're going for, and it works out the pace per kilometer you'd need to hold and your average speed — then builds the checkpoint chart itself. Distances over 15 km split every 5 km; anything shorter splits every 1 km, so you know what the clock should say at each marker. This is the pacing-strategy tool: deciding what to run through halfway at, and knowing early whether you're banking time or burning it. Everything is calculated right in your browser, so your inputs never reach a server.

FAQ

What intervals does the split chart use?
Distances of 15 km or less are split every 1 km; anything longer (half and full marathons, for example) is split every 5 km. The final target distance is always added as the last row.
Can I enter a custom distance?
Yes. Choose the 'Custom' tab and you can enter any running distance you want, down to 0.01 km.
Are my entries saved or sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation happens instantly in your browser, with nothing stored or transmitted to a server.
